Itinerary

Arrive Kathmandu and check into your accommodation. Explore the bustling city and various cafes and bars during the day time. Buy all the stuff for the trekking.

Leave early from Kathmandu and drive to Besisahar. After having lunch we change the vehicle and continue drive to Dharapani. The road can be challenging but it is incredibly scenic. We travel through the old Annapurna Circuit trek route, through amazing gorges and stunning waterfalls. Overnight stay in Dharapani.

Today you enter to Nar Phu Valley, which take around four to five hours. Walking through pine and fir forests, several Monasteries, and traditional villages to Bargarchhap, you can enjoy magnificient views of Annapurna II, Manaslu, and other peaks. The route continues through pine forests before reaching Koto, a small Gurung village.

We kick-start with an adventurous off-road journey from Kathmandu to Koto. Our route meanders through picturesque villages like Jagat, Chamje, Dharapani, Bagarchhap, Timang, and Thanchock. The stunning Annapurna I Peak greets us as we pass Bagarchhap, while the journey from Bagarchhap to Timang Village at 2460 meters treats us to panoramic views of Mount Manaslu and Lamjung Himal along the way.

In Meta, you'll see special Buddhist structures called chortens that are typical in Nar and Phu. The path curves along the ridge and you can spot the faraway Nar Phedi Monastery.

As you travel through beautiful canyons and gorges, you'll find a big stone that shows the way up to Phu. Before you enter Phu, enjoy the amazing view with lots of colorful chortens around the area.

The easier route through the Himalayan river basin goes from Methang to Kyang. Before continuing, you must pass through an ACAP and a restricted area checkpost at Meta. We start our excursion by walking from Meta to Nar Phedi, which takes about an hour. The Labse and Phu Khola rivers converge at this spot. We keep climbing northward, following the Phu river. We reach Junam Goth, where a river emerges from the eastern massifs of Kangaru Himal, after about two hours of steady ascent. We travel on through Lowe Chyako and Upper Chyako before arriving in Kyang for our overnight stay. Kyang is located next to a river on a level piece of farmland.

The Phu river runs beside us today, and the trail is marked by moderate inclines. This area is part of the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP), and it includes both Phu village and the larger Manang region. There have been multiple reports of Blue Sheep sightings during this section of the walk by hikers. It is noteworthy that there are dangerous rocky terrains to cross on the route from Kyang to Phu. After crossing Kyang, there are multiple spots that are prone to landslides, thus caution is advised. We eventually take it to Phu village, where we can finally rest for the night after trudging over this terrain for almost five hours.

Acclimatization day to explore Phu Village and its surroundings. Visit Tashi Lhakhang Monastery and enjoy panoramic views of the Himalayas. Or hike to the Himlung Base Camp which takes 5 Hours for the round trip. Rest and acclimatize for the upcoming high-altitude trekking.

We retrace our route in the direction of Nar Phedi, passing through Kyang, Chyako, and Junam Goth the route. The trail is easy to follow and descends gradually, making for a pleasant hiking experience. As an alternative, you might opt to hike across the difficult Phu and Nar passes to get to Nar village. We will spend the night at Nar Phedi, which is situated where the Labse and Phu rivers converge.

Ascend towards Nar, the largest village in the Nar Phu Valley. Pass through high mountain passes and chortens adorned with vibrant paintings. Explore Nar Village and interact with the local people.

Take in the breathtaking views of Tilicho Peak, Gangapurna, and Annapurna II from the pass's peak. The steep beginning of the downhill route could be fun if you enjoy scree running. Before going to Ngawal, stop for lunch on a plateau with a view of the summit.

The historic villages you will see are very different from Ngawal, which is on the Annapurna Circuit's upper Pisang path. Larger lodges with a greater selection of cuisines, Wi-Fi, and phone signals are available here.

Begin your trek from Ngawal Village, nestled in the highlands. The trail descends initially, offering breathtaking views of the Annapurna mountain range. Traverse through terraced fields, quaint villages, and lush forests. Reach Upper Pisang, where you'll be greeted by the towering peaks.

Continue your descent from Upper Pisang to the lower reaches of Pisang. The trail takes you through charming landscapes adorned with prayer flags and ancient monasteries. Enjoy the ever-changing scenery and the serene ambiance. Arrive at Pisang, a picturesque village with a blend of traditional and modern elements. Explore the local culture and unwind amidst the Himalayan vistas.

Trek back to Koto, enjoying the changing scenery. Celebrate the completion of the Nar Phu Valley trek with your trekking team. Overnight stay in Koto.

Today we will leave early from Koto after breakfast and enjoy the drive to Kathmandu. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, check-in at the hotel and rest.
