Bunu Tamang is a female trekking guide from Kathmandu in Nepal having more than fifteen years of experience in the trails of Himalayan. She has been working in tourism since 2010 AD. Before founding Nepal Trekscape (p) Ltd., she worked as a senior female trekking guide for some of the reputed trekking agencies in Nepal. She was born in Lalitpur and raised in the Kathmandu district, known as the capital city of Nepal. she joined this field early in her career.

Bunu initially worked as a porter and upgraded to assistant guide and then worked as a senior guide. She has already led many treks independently around trekking destinations like Annapurna region, Everest region, Langtang region and Manaslu Region. She is experienced and capable of leading big groups.

Bunu is a licensed trekking guide and have taken many trainings and programs organized by:

• Kathmandu Environmental Education Project (KEEP)
• Trekking Agencies’ Association of Nepal (TAAN)
• Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA)

Bunu founded Nepal Trekscape in 2023 AD with a vision to empower women in trekking field of Nepal. She encourages local women to lead the trek independently on the trails of Himalayas. She believed that exponential growth of tourism sector in Nepal takes place only if gender barrier in Nepal’s trekking industry is ended.

Ajit Adhikari – Owner and Senior Male Trekking Guide

Ajit Adhikari is a male trekking guide from Kathmandu having more than fifteen years of experience in the trekking field of Nepal. He was born in Dhading district of Nepal and completed his secondary education from here. Then, he moved to Kathmandu for higher education.

Initially, Ajit started his career as a porter in 2010 AD. Then, he became licensed trekking guide in 2014 AD. In many reputed trekking agencies of Nepal, he was hired as a lead trekking guide. He also had led many treks independently in Everest Region, Annapurna Region, Manaslu Region and Langtang Region for several times.

Along with the license of trekking guide, he has also participated trainings and programs organized by:

He customizes itinerary of trekking destination according to client budgets and preference. While customizing itinerary, he makes sure that there are acclimatization days and activities to minimize the risk of altitude sickness.

Riya Adhikari – Information Technology Head of Nepal Trekscape

Riya Adhikari is Information Technology Head of Nepal Trekscape (P) Ltd. from the starting phase of company. She is pursuing Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) in Patan Multiple Campus located at Patandhoka, Lalitpur. She is also the great example of women empowerment in our agency who is leading technical role. Additionally, she also developed dynamic website for Bunu and Ajit so that they can share their experience through their website.

 As a Head of Information Technology, Riya maintains digital presence of our women-led agency by:
